The inaugural show discussed upcoming events for the Chamber including the Parkway Shootout to be held on October 10 at Creekwood Shooting Sports in Conroe. Our guests provided great information about Freestanding Emergency Rooms, specifically America’s ER, and the expansion of capabilities and qualified staff at these facilities. We discussed the continued growth of the Real Estate market in Montgomery Co and the benefits of being a home buyer. Jody Bode gave us great information on what a financial planner can do to help you grow your wealth and prepare for retirement.

The Fall Armyworm can be a destructive pest that can consume pasture and hay fields in a matter of hours. We discussed the life cycle of the Armyworm and control measures. The time to establish cool season annuals for winter grazing is approaching. The program covered varieties of winter annual grassed, cereal grains, and legumes. We finished the hour with a discussion of Nitrate Poisoning and Prussic Acid Poisoning. The dry conditions we are experiencing with infrequent shower can set forages to be a potential treat.
