Cody Wayne of Cody Wayne and Westbound 21 stopped by LoneStar Country Nights on February 24, 2015 to talk about his new single and updated CD debuting on Thursday Februbary 26, 2015. Cody Wayne is an East Texas born and raised singer/songwriter. He was inspired to play the guitar by his roommate in the United States Marine Corps. After being honorably discharged from the Marines, he spent time on the family farm in Franklin Texas where he used his life experiences to write his songs. He then took his songs and guitar to College Station and began playing open mic nights. From there he moved to Nacogdoches and started college at Stephen F. Austin State University. He still lives there today and has built a sizable fan base. He has also had the opportunity to open for many of the big Texas Country stars. He brings a great mix of classic country with a new Texas Country feel by playing popular cover songs as well has his originals.
